The Conservation, Maintenance and Repair of Mechanical Clocks

Today, when original and existing surface finishes are increasingly
valued as an integral part of the history of works of art and
valuable antiques.

I feel it is important that clock mechanisms are viewed not simply
as working objects, but in their own right, demanding the same
attention and application of conservative practice as any other
historic works.
